The list is a based on the combined evaluation of search trends in most search engines, primarily including Google, Yahoo and Bing.

Google suggest shows Anna Hazare just by typing ‘an’ which is good enough to state the amount of searches it received on Google. The similar trend exists in Yahoo and Bing as well.

3rd position for Salman Khan is a bit surprising. This is mainly because of 3 blockbusters that he gave in 2011, namely Dabangg, Ready and Bodygaurd.
Bodygaurd went onto become one of the highest grossing movies in the Bollywood history. Apart from this, his tussle with Shahrukh Khan and his affaur with Katrina Kaif are other two big reasons that helped him securing 3rd spot in Google.
4. Poonam Pandey
She once said, she’ll go nude if India wins the world cup. Cashing on the craze of cricket among Indian people she succeeded in drawing media attention and hence she’s placed 4th in our list of mosr searched Indians for 2011.
